Chrysalis Consulting was founded in 2003 by its President, Karen Kralios. With offices in Colorado and Massachusetts we serve clients around the globe. We offer balanced expertise—outstanding business experience enlightened by a holistic organizational development perspective. Our principled yet unique solutions deliver significant improvements to clients’ operational and financial bottom lines.

Chrysalis Consulting President and Founder Karen Kralios
Karen Kralios is an organizational development consultant and transformational coach. She specializes in organization design and strategy, leadership development, organizational culture transformation and whole systems change management.
Karen has over nineteen years of experience consulting for such industry leaders as Deloitte & Touche and Accenture. After being recruited by an international technology development firm, Karen developed a change management practice, as well as an integrated consulting delivery and project management methodology, for that firm’s public sector and energy clients. She has led numerous organizational development initiatives in support of various projects including process and technology implementations, cultural transformations and post acquisition alignment. She has also served as the director of corporate communications for a start-up telecom company. Karen’s systemic thinking combined with her planning and communication skills and her background in psychology, business and organizational behavior makes her well equipped to help organizations identify where they want to go, what they want to achieve, and then help everyone work together to accomplish those goals.
As a transformational coach, Karen applies her knowledge of psychology and cutting edge research in neuroscience to help direct, expand and sustain individual and organizational transformation. Karen earned a Masters in Business Administration in Organizational Behavior and Operations Management from Boston University and holds a BA in Psychology from Wellesley College. She is a member of the Organization Development Network and is a charter member of the International Positive Psychology Association. Karen is also a certified New Life Story© Coach and a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst. She is an instructor at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and serves on the Board of Directors for Our Family Orphan Communities non-profit organization.
Health Care Practice Lead and Boston Office Manager Susan Vroman
Susan Vroman brings 15 years of experience as both an internal and external Organizational Effectiveness expert. Susan’s passion and expertise lies in values-based leadership development and profit-centered culture development; she has demonstrated superior results in designing and creating engaged workforces with direct business results.
Susan has served as an Executive Coach to senior executives and rising stars. She has designed and used tools such as 360 degree questionnaires and helped leaders recognize their impact (versus their intent). She has also has designed and developed learning and development programming for leadership development, supervisory effectiveness, and soft-skills effectiveness. She is known for her high energy in delivery and assurance that participants’ experiences are respected as they are active and engaged in learning. Susan has also led Change Management initiatives ranging from organizational re-engineering to accommodate new process and systems implementations to culture assimilation preparing for and in the aftermath of mergers and acquisitions.
Susan holds her undergraduate degree in Communication and Human Resource Development from James Madison University and a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies from Harvard University. Susan is adjunct faculty at two New England Colleges in topics including Leadership and Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Leading Teams, Human Resource Management, and Human Resource Development. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Predictive Index (PI), Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and in DiSC.
Competitive Intelligence and Research Lead Sean Mitchell
Sean Mitchell is a strategy, finance, real estate, competitive intelligence, and research consultant. He provides high value consulting services to a myriad of international clients in the areas of strategy, finance, organizational development, real estate, and high technology.
Sean has an extensive strategic management, sales and marketing background with over 17 years combined in the real estate, finance, high tech, and retail industries. Sean was notably integral to the growth of SignalSoft Corp from a small private Boulder company to a publicly traded international vendor of wireless network software, which ultimately sold to Openwave Systems. Sean has over 10 years experience in real estate brokerage and investment/property management of commercial and residential properties providing consulting and transaction services to property owners, tenants, buyers, and investors. He has delivered services in the sales and marketing of over $100M for both residential and commercial real estate markets. Sean utilizes a highly consultative approach to serving his clients, ensuring that the goals of the client are met above all else.
Sean holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado at Boulder as well as a BA in Economics. Sean speaks both Spanish and French and has conducted business in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America.
